I :  Congratulations Mahesh Uncle for your extraordinary work! To get stared with, Tell us few words about who is "Mahesh Birari"?

Mahesh: Laughs, Mahesh Birari is a common human being who is passionate about motor driving and exploring new heights and dimensions of the world. He follows the mantra of life "simple living and high thinking". He loves his country the most. His one and only dream is to get wrapped in the Flag of India when he will die and for this he want to do something unique for his country.

I : When did you first discover the amazing quality (motor bike driving) in you?

Mahesh : Thinks... I was in KTHM college, Nashik, in 1991 I got rejected in NCC  RD Parade (Delhi) because of short height. I was very nervous. After some days, I took part in cycle expedition with 11 boys heading towards Delhi on cycle. It was a thrilling journey. We left on cycle to Delhi. It was about 3080 km cycle tour. I saw Delhi on cycle and i got attracted to do the complete journey of India on Motor bike. It was like a dream thing for me to travel whole India on Bike.

I : Where were your first solo trip on Motorbike?

Mahesh : I had successfully completed 3-4 solo trips on motorbike and believe me they all were so exciting and full of adventure.

In 1991--  Nashik - Delhi - Nashik ( 45 days on cycle, 3080 Km)

I : Well, in this long journey of covering 29 states, there must be hundreds of hurdles in your way, tell us any incidence where you felt that you cant go ahead or return home back?

Mahesh : Yes, there were many incidences that created problems in my way but I Never felt to quit and return home.

I was in Rajasthan. The winters are quiet chilly there. Due to huge fog, i suddenly got crashes with a cow and I was dragged 50 Km away. My left hand and Legs were badly injured. I still manage myself and went in hospital, get some bandage done with medicines and was again on my way on motor bike. I have strong faith on myself and I want to achieve the target. Also in some states, I traveled in -2 degree Celsius but I never think of returning back.

I want to share one thrilling experience with you all, Assam was the 3rd state in my road trip. Winters were chilly there too. Due to intense cold, my match stick was not working.
I saw some burning fire nearby and I went there. On coming close to the fire, I saw it was a dead body burning there. I frightened first time, but thought there must be a cosmic relation with this dead person and so I met him/her. I made my body warm in the fire. Took blessings from the burning dead body and again return to my road trip.

I : Ohh That was indeed very thrilling!!

I : Moving ahead, Did you took any kind of professional training of driving before?

Mahesh : No Professional training at all.

I : Why did you decided to go for this long road trip? Any inspiration or was it just a desire?

Mahesh : I want to do something unique for my country. along with this road trip, I want to make awareness among the people of rural and urban areas of India about "Beti Bachao Abhiyaan" (Save a Girl Child)  as well as to make a new Guinness World Record. I think I had successfully made awareness throughout my journey.

I : How did you manage the whole funds for your solo trips?

Mahesh : Laughs... Everything was self funding :)

I : How supportive your family is?

Mahesh : Throughout my solo trips, I have received 100% support from my family members including my parents, my wife and my kids (2 year old daughter and 11 months son, now they are big :) ). I am thankful to them for supporting me in my desires and allowing to make my dream to come true.
